BOILER & MACHINERY INSURANCE
If your property includes a steam boiler and/or if it is susceptible to damage by artificially generated electrical currents, Boiler and Machinery insurance is available. This can include coverage for both the direct damage covered by a boiler explosion, boiler rupture or by such an electrical disturbance and can also include coverage for any resultant business income loss.
If your insurance program includes Boiler and Machinery insurance, you may sustain a loss the circumstances of which make it unclear whether it should be covered under your Boiler and Machinery policy or under your Property insurance policy. A Joint Loss Settlement Provision can be added to your Boiler and Machinery policy to reduce the likelihood that you will encounter a dispute between the insurers of these two policies. |
